The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts is located in the historic James Library Building circa 1900. The museum is dedicated to preserving and interpreting the tools used in the United States prior to industrialization, as well as the products that were made by them. Also located within the museum is a cooper's shop, a shoemaker's shop, a cabinetmaker's shop and other exhibits.
